Our History

The Revelstoke Rod & Gun Club has been promoting and conserving the outdoors since the 1970’s.

We strive to conserve and urge the wise use of our natural resources, which include stable soil, unpolluted water, perpetual forests, vegetation, fish, wildlife, scenic and recreational reservations; to improve and restore the fish, game, and its habitat; to study local resources and co-operate with proper authorities in securing conservation plans and measures for betterment to the benefit of all the community; to support sound conservation; to oppose anti-conservation legislation; to promote good sportsmanship afield, and to conduct ourselves to be an example of good and safe sportsmanship; to respect the property rights of others; to pass on to our heirs the joys and privileges of a better outdoors.

Rules for Revelstoke Rod and Gun Club Fish and Wildlife Awards

1. All entries in the awards MUST be from the current license year, be caught/shot and species tagged by the member entering them.
2. Only entries harvested in British Columbia are valid.
3. All entries MUST be in by DECEMBER 31st of the calendar year.
4. Official scoring of horns and antlers will be done by persons deemed so qualified by the club Executive.
5. Official fish weigh-ins will be done at locations deemed so qualified by the club.
6. All big game entries must be cleaned before entry.
7. All big game entries must be available for display at the annual banquet.
8. All disputes concerning scoring or weigh-in disputes will be adjudicated by the Rod and Gun Executive, and their decision WILL BE FINAL.
